I think Prisoner of Azkaban is a lot of people's favourite HP book, but it isn't mine personally. I still love it, though: this is where things start getting darker (the Dementors! flashbacks to the Potters' death!) and the world starts expanding (the Marauders! Animagi! Trelawney's predictions!), and for that, it's such a strong book.
A few things I wanted to remark on:
1. Hermione's development is fantastic in this one. She's always been willing to bend the rules for her friends -- revisiting these early books is great for that, realising how quickly she does switch into disobedience, and e.g. she's the one to think up the Polyjuice Potion scheme in CoS -- but her breakdown and losing her temper in PoA is a beauty to behold. Hagrid tearing Ron and Harry a new one for not standing by her was magnificent. They really are just dumb teenaged boys with their heads in the clouds and anchored on Quidditch more than anything else sometimes. :')
2. Oliver Wood remains one of my favourite side characters of ALL TIME, I have such a crush on him: “Bad news, Harry. I've just been to see Professor McGonagall about the Firebolt. She – er, got a bit shirty with me. Told me I'd got my priorities wrong. Seemed to think I cared more about winning the Cup than I do about staying alive. Just because I told her I didn't care if it threw you off, as long as you caught the Snitch first...”
3. And Gryffindor wins the House Cup, again. I think this is the last time anyone does, considering how everything changes in Goblet of Fire. Welp. I'm not ready.
4. I've sort of run out of things to say about Stephen Fry's narration, because it's just so damned good that I can't add much more. He is the perfect narrator for these books and anything else in life, and I'm almost not okay with listening to other audiobooks now (he has ruined me!). A stand-out scene was Hagrid, McGonagall, Rosmerta, Flitwick, and Fudge's conversation in the Three Broomsticks: Fry switches effortlessly from voice to voice to voice, without missing a beat, each of them with their own accent & idiolect. Magnificent.
