3.5 stars for me, as usual the tales of Hogwarts are perfectly magical. Rowling's characters are in abundance, but they all add fun to the story. I just need to make sure I can keep them all straight!

Fun to read, hard to put down. There's a lot more evil here than in the second book - the Dementors are just creepy. The ending took things a bit too far for me, but the time travel elements are cool.
I believe this book is the farthest I got in the series when I was a child, so I'm looking forward to reading the rest. I can't believe how much these things hold up.
PS - Why does Harry still live with his miserable relatives? I didn't understand this in the second book either. There are so many people who are infatuated with him, and he's loaded. Just sayin'.

It's basically impossible to pick my favorite book of the series, but if I absolutely had to, it would probably be this one. I love the plot and the adventure that is specific to this book. This is where I started to feel the bond between Harry and Hermione grow even more. Just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
