4.5. I adore both the book and the movie, it’s a rare instance when Hollywood makes changes that actually are better for the film. The book is fun, quick witted, and adventurous with a theme of politeness that reminds me to travel and speak to strangers with kindness first. I enjoyed the numerous side adventures explored in the book, and understand why there wasn’t as much action as the movie showed. Planning on purchasing for a copy as a gift soon! Definitely a feel good read, a fairytale.

3.75/5 - fun, new fairytale type of story. I liked how everything happened in the end. It did lose my attention here and there.

I might think differently now since I read it when I was quite young but frankly, it was the worst Gaiman has ever written. He's my favourite author but Stardust wasn't captivating and was kinda dull instead.

Overall I liked the book, however  it feel confusing at time. I something felt something was missing? Or there was trying to put to much into one book, so there wasn’t room for development some of the thing that was confusing to me.
