DNF

I couldn't make it through the first one to get to second in the series. So slow. And the "angst" didn't even make sense. Who cares if he's dating. And I get it. He's gorgeous. Put the thesaurus down trying to describe his looks and spend some time on plot.

This was such a fun, sexy book. I know absolutely nothing about the electoral running, especially in the US but Katy did such a great job in making sure to give just the right amount of info that it didn't borderline info dumpy. The sexual tension was crackling, the romance was rich and I'm really excited for the next book.

My only negative comment is that I wish Charlotte was more of a go-getter. It was always Matt instigating something. Where's the female power?!

Freaking amazing!

Oh wow! Where do I start? Although I always rate the books I read, it has been a while since I've taken the time to write a review. I was however compelled to write a review for Katy Evans's "Mr President" , as not doing so would make me feel that I was doing the book a serious injustice. Not willing to commit such a crime, here goes!

Matt Hamilton first meets Charlotte when she's eleven years old and he accompanies his father, the current president, to a dinner, hosted by by Charlottes' parents in their home. After the dinner, Charlotte writes a note to Matt, stating that if Matt one day decides to runs for president, not only will he have her vote, but she'd be willing to join his campaign.

Fast forward eleven years later and Charlotte has not only been invited to to be part of Matt's campaign, but has also been promoted to be Matt's one and only scheduler. The connection they felt all those years ago has only grown stronger. Katy Evans has a way with words that builds up the tormented, frustrated sexual tension between Charlotte and Matt, as they are continuously torn between their feelings for each other and not doing anything to jeopardise Matt's campaign and cause scandal. Charlotte and Matt want each other so desperately and have such a deep, intense need and desire for each other, yet they have to keep this hidden from the public eyes - no easy feat, considering Matt is constantly under public scrutiny. Katy Evans knows how to keep this slow burn building in anticipation of the inevitable inferno. What are you waiting for? Download "Mr President" NOW, you won't regret it. My only complaint is that now I need to download and get started on "Commander in Chief", which will hopefully conclude Matt and Charlottes's sizzling story.

3.5 stars.

Love the story of Matt Hamilton and Charlotte! I find Charlotte to be intelligent, charming, idealistic, and just the perfect match for Matt who is so reminiscent of JFK Jr. I love the overall story of office-work, sexual-tension environment the Katy Evans incorporated since I find them to be really sexy (ahem!). I just can't wait for COMMANDER IN CHIEF that will be debuting in early January; right in time for inauguration!

A few constructive critiques for the future novel: Please, please proof-read! I found SO MANY run-on sentences, grammatical errors, and even typos! Sometimes it go so distracting from the story because I had to re-read a sentence or paragraph for it to make sense. I realize this book was independently published (not like the others that were published from Gallery) so not sure if it was the case for the many mistakes that I spotted. Regardless, please, plead, proof-read prior to final publication!!

I can't even write an actual review for this. I could t put it down. I was sucked in from the very beginning and you know what....I don't even mind the cliffy. This was fantastic and Matt could be my president anyway
