This was a great short story collection. I enjoyed all of them and really fell hard for the characters. Can’t wait to see more from this author.

A very good collection with much to recommend it. Interesting, well-rounded stories seeped in Native American culture, mysticism, and present-day reality. My favorite was the one about the casket in the backseat, but the vast majority of the stories were really very good.

This was a great debut story collection about modern Native American life. While a bit uneven as story collections often are, there were some really excellent stories here that had me excited to read more from this author. Her writing is gritty with some really beautiful imagery.

I rarely read short stories but I'm super thankful to my bookclub for introducing this collection to me. You very strongly feel the author's voice through each story - amazing for a debut! The stories are woven together beautifully, linked by an invisible thread. I loved hearing Navajo stories and learning more about their culture.
