LEO!!! 🥹

These meet cute shorts are stealing my heart! The precious turn of events at the end of this one made me kick my feet and squeal. I think this one is tied for my favorite!

I did enjoy this sweet little meet cute. I do not usually have any claustrophobia, but it is so heavy in this story, that it still made me very uncomfortable.  I do love banter, and there is a lot of good banter in this book. The meet-cute is improbable, in keeping with the parameters of the collection. Beyond that, I did find several key plot elements to be completely unbelievable, and that took me out of the story. The narrator’s performance was excellent. The narrator and the banter bring this up to 3.25 stars for me. Not quite enough to round up to 4.

This was super unrealistic and a little ridiculous in parts but damn if a dreamboat firefighter doesn’t win me over every single time.

Short and sweet!!

However, I will never ever get into one of those spa relaxation tanks. Even if it leads to me meeting my soulmate.

and here is the cheese factor I was inevitably waiting for 😅😅 as a lover of emo romances and not so much a lover of hallmark cheese fests, this one was just eh for me

I think if you’re into romcoms and meet cutes, this is a perfect quick read! when two sisters have a spa day on valentine’s day, one of them gets trapped in a treatment room and needs firefighter rescuing!! and yes, this is 100% a corny firefighter romance…

I did find the dialogue to be cringy, and the characters to be a bit superficial, but I did enjoy the plot twist at the end! meet cutes just might turn out to be my new favorite thing 🥰

Didn't love this. Dialogue was clunky. The constant self deprivation annoys me. I am 100% never stepping into a sensory deprivation tank.

This story was interesting for me. I’m extremely claustrophobic and there was a point in which I thought I wouldn’t be able to continue with the story. Yet once Rosie and Leo started talking I slowly forgot to worry about the confined space Rosie was in. In the audiobook version, they employ a bit of a muffled effect that brought even more to the story for me.

While this story doesn’t go super deep, it is much deeper than I thought it would be with so few pages. Leo and Rosie can open up about some of their fears and worries although they just met. It makes sense why that is, with the situation they are in, and it was touching in ways I didn’t expect.
