Omg this was soo good. Even better than the first, and I didn’t realize that would be possible. The writing was still as impressive but more accessible and even more personal. The cast of characters was close, with heavy touch of found family that is always my favorite trope. A super dark, gory, violent book, that manages to be absolutely hilarious and somehow maintains a mostly upbeat tone. I already have book 3 bought and queued and frankly can’t wait to keep exploring the authors work in other series too!!!

It’s an interesting way to write a story, with a meandering plot that takes long diversions between characters. Some people probably wouldn’t like it, I did find it a little bit hard to follow at times, but it fleshes out the world wonderfully and tells a really great and thoughtful story.
