I am really enjoying this series. It's nice to have another perspective on the Omega Force universe. I do miss some of the more interesting interactions with aliens, but there are some in here. Looking forward to reading the others in the series.

The second book in the Terran scout fleet series. Jacob is on the trail of his adversaries, with a vendetta to settle. The story was ok... but the only thing that irked me was the fact that they are supposedly an elite team. The best of the best, the crème de la crème, the Rangers in space, Rangers Lead the Way, but they kept getting caught and tortured. Only for a third party to bail them out, and rescue them from their predicament. I mean if you want a bungling incompetent team of soldiers send “F Troop” in to investigate, at least get some comedic value out of it.

The mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find the Eagle's Talon, and then the cat-and-mouse chase begins, who can find the ship first? Who are the traitors in their midst? Thwarting their every move, in this cosmic game of chess.

I did enjoy the first book; I must admit but my enthusiasm is waning in this one. The story was so-so, it kept me entertained but only just, although I am starting to get tired of these types of stories, they're all basically the same, nothing new or original. Well, I don’t suppose you care how I feel, you just want to know if the book is worth reading or not. Well, if you’ve read book one, which is always a good place to start, then yes, reading it is worthwhile, if you like this type of thing.

If you've enjoyed Dalzelle's other books then you should enjoy this one. There're few surprises, except perhaps that the universe's big-bad isn't yet known to the humans. I would have thought Omega force might have slipped that bit of info to some trusted associates on Earth.
