My first listen into the Red Petticoat Saloon series and first book of Sue Lyndon's. I am a huge fan of historical western romance, and this book did not disappoint. Two souls, Callie and Lawrence, each settling in Culpepper Cove after losing their spouse come together for a second chance at love. Callie is trying to get enough money to go back home to Virginia and Lawrence is looking to settle in his cabin, away from his previous days of being a preacher. Once they meet, all bets are off. While Callie tries to keep her eye on getting home, working at the Red Petticoat Saloon and having her only "work" be Lawrence, it is proving to be impossible to resist him. The interaction between the two is fun loving and highly explosive. The spanking is hot and proves you just never know what people are like. Who would think a pastor would dominate his woman with discipline and standing in the corner? This short romp of a novella was a lot of fun, and extremely entertaining.

La Petite Mort does an incredible job narrating this story. His deep voice is perfect for the cowboy era and brings those erotic scenes to life. A definite must listen.
