Tbh my opinions on the sequel are mostly the same as the debut. This is an incredibly solid series that carries great characters, world-building, and plot with so much personality. What I appreciated even more in this book is the new characters that were introduced (I mean Winter had to after killing so many so often

Great continuation of the series. Tau was placed in a lot of new and different situations in this one, and it was interesting to see how he navigated them. This book, like the last, did a great job of keeping things moving forward at all times, and it felt like there was never a dull moment.

The worlds of Uhmlaba and Isihogo are so unique interesting and there's still so much left to learn about them, so I absolutely cannot wait for book 3 to come.

Narrator: 5+ stars. Fantastic job. Prentice Onayemi is incredible!

This book. This series.
So. Damn. Good!

Through every twist, turn, and breath-stealing moment, Evan Winter takes the reader on an outstanding journey and I was not ready for the ending.
Each page had something new to offer and unveiled more of the stunning world created.
Exhausted, broken, and fueled by unfathomable rage, we continue to follow Tau on his path to justice alongside his most trusted men.
A beautiful world soaked in blood and violence. Will they ever know peace?
