5 start just for the ending. The rest of the story coasted at 3-4 stars.

This is the second book in the Regency Faerie Tales series by Olivia Atwater, following Effie, a housemaid and Lord Blackthorn, a faerie trying to understand humans. Similar to the first book, this has a cozy feeling that wraps you up like a warm hug. I liked how both our characters were a little aloof and awkward fumbling through the book. I also enjoyed having the perspective be from a maid in this book and how it highlighted the inequalities of the time. I loved where Effie and Blackthorn are at the end of the book as well, it was the perfect amount of cheeky.

Delightfully fun - however not quite as fun as the first one.
