I loved it. Situations that need to be overwon through sheer determination and logic. This second book was more gripping and thrilling than the first book. We have rescues, betrayals, love, magics, and a whole lot more to love. A good ending with a very annoying (but effective) cliff hanger at the end of the book. Cannot wait to get the next book of my selves and start reading.

This second book was even better than the first!

Shyla grows exponentially! You really see her start to evolve into the person she is meant to be and it’s awesome because she is strong and badass.

There are so many plot twists and turns, you think everything will be ok only to have the rug yanked from under you!! And I did not predict any of them! It was ridiculously awesome.

I was throughly entertained and captivated the whole time! All the characters are incredible and I’m super excited for the next book!!!

Overall a very good book, has Indiana Jones meets a Scifi world type vibes.

As ever I am the highest fan of Maria's work and this doesn't disappoint. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am excited to get my hands on the final instalment of it. The world building and the plot twists along with the plot itself are a marvellous creation from the mind of a word mastermind. Recommend highly to anyone who will listen and think everyone should read at least one of Maria's sets if not all of them really.
