In the Jungle is part of Learn with Animals series from Weekly Reader. It's a great easy reader about animals found in different areas of the world. This book mentions macaw, spider monkey, caiman, hummingbird, iguana, anteater,tree frog, jaguar,toucan, and blue morpho. I didn't read all the pages for storytime because I had tiny tots and didn't want tot book to go too long. I was also focusing on birds during storytime and this book shares three different birds. The book features illustrations rather than photographs. I prefer photographs.

We did actions for each page which was fun to do with everyone - river/wide, trees/high, macaw/lg. wings, hummingbird/sm. wings, iguana/sun, anteater/tongue, and toucan/lg. beak.
