started off really strong but I kinda got bored by the end. still such a lovely book and it mirrored so much of my life and feelings that I can’t help but utterly adore it.

Really interesting concept, with some great social critique woven in. That being said, I did find that at times it was a little too focused on concept, and the social critique was a tad too heavy-handed. I almost wish the author had a little more trust in her readers’ ability to understand her message. Overall though, these shortcomings didn’t prevent it from being a really immersive and heartwarming story.
