I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It's the first time I've read anything from this author and I was very impressed with the character development and the journey the author took us on. Of the two secrets being harbored by our mains, one was a gimme (ie, I knew from the beginning what to expect with the reveal) but the other was a genuine surprise and as a result I really felt like I was on the journey with our characters. Interestingly, this book was entirely a single POV until the epilogue, which worked exceptionally well in this case. This book also was far more character driven than smut driven, which didn't bother me but if you are looking for a super spicy romance this isn't the book for you. There was still a decent amount of sexy times, but it was definitely not the primary focus of the relationship between our two mans. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
