And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain, Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool. By making his world a little colder.

Jude is pretty good at living a fairly mediocre life. The key to not getting hurt is not letting anyone too close and that’s just fine with Jude. A chance meeting on a rooftop and everything changes.

The whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking about that Beatles song “Hey Jude” and once I finished the book I went and listened to it again (because I couldn’t put this book down once I started. Everything else had to wait). And the lyrics really hit hard in relation to this story.

A lot of people in the MM romance book world kept saying this was the best book this year, and while I think that’s a hard claim to make considering the sheer number, after reading it, I know exactly why they said so.
Jude’s deadpan humor and sarcasm was so charming and his walls he built, relatable. The banter between these two was some of the best I’ve read. Blake sees Jude and meets him there before Jude even realizes it, but he’s drawn to it.
This book was fantastic writing, pacing, character development. You are sucked right in and swept away and biting your nails for these two to make it work. It is a day to day progression of them hanging out, getting to know one another, and learning to let someone in. They are beautiful characters with a beautiful connection.
It all ends with a beautiful love letter too. I enjoyed every minute. This book was captivating and definitely a favorite read for me this year. I will be thinking about this one for a while.

Let it out and let it in. Hey Jude begin, your waiting for someone.
