While entertaining, like Millar sometimes does, it sacrifices substance for coolness. Also, two different heist plans were explained for the reader with the intro of "Let's go over the plan ONE more time!" which was annoying.

I loved the coloring of the art, it matched the 80s vibes very well.
Graphic: Sexual content, Violence
Minor: Drug use
An incredibly fun, high-octane, sci-fi revenge romp of two wronged, badass women out for blood among the stars. Loved the characters and action, and the brightly colored illustrations make this a delight to read. Fans of Bitch Planet and Motor Crush will get a kick out of this one!

This is a weird, mixed bag that has some ideas that would seem fun (80s, Space Dandy-esqe, space travels, revenge plots, ect) but Mark Millar isn't great on character work, and that's missing in this type of project in a big way.
I received an ARC copy of this book from Edelweiss
I have pretty much intentionally avoided Millar's work after some of the things he said and did in Kickass, but this sounded so good I had to try it. Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin and it's definitely just a sci-fi action movie in comic format but I loved the two main characters and had a lot of fun reading it. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good 'two women on a revenge quest' story.

Interesante y liviana, aunque supongo que pretendía ser más divertida de lo que termina siendo. Algunos de los conceptos espaciales de esta historia me recuerdan el mundo de Cowboy Bebop, y creo que eso la hace mejor.
Like a good action film, it was entertaining, but nothing to write home about. The drawings were really well done, but the plot is pretty linear.
3 stars. Great premise, needed better execution. Wouldn't have minded a sapphic twist, which I was admittedly hoping for.
First he was the most cynical guy you could meet but now Mark Millar is embracing the weirdness of his mentor, Grant Morrison. Helped in no small part to Matteo Scalera and Marcelo Maiolo for their great artwork. There just seems to be no short of fun or surprises. I haven't even seen 3D math equations since Morrison's Green Lantern. And the reveal at the end suggests a trilogy, which will be fun.
But that's all that this is, fun. No greater meaning or developments, just a creator wanting to enjoy himself. Frankly that's enough for me.
