I know they were for the plot so I didn’t take away stars for that specifically but Kiva’s siblings were so incredibly annoying. Every time they appeared I rolled my eyes. What I did take away stars for was the lack of conflict, there seemed to be no sense of urgency. Kiva was making stupid choices which was frustrating.

It was a good plot but I'm a bit baffled by the lack of motive in Zulee's quest. I don't really get the why and I feel like it lacks a bit of complexity for the characters at times. I enjoyed the story and I was really tense throughout though. Will be reading the 3rd too
