The series has gotten darker, people. There are so many honorable mentions in this one.
I bawled my eyes out multiple times throughout the story. Anything that had to do with Daedalus, Pan's death, Calypso wishing Percy to create a garden in Manhattan in memory of her, even up on to Dionysus's kid's death as well. Kronos waking up in Luke's body also brought me to tears tbh. As Percy discovered his former friend's body, I couldn't help but imagine how hurt, broken and most of all shocked Percy must have felt to see him laying there.
Annabeth made me so angry most of the time in this book. She was so hard headed and her fatal flaw was showing very strongly here. I was so excited they were going to go on their first date to the movies and yet had to go on another life or death quest. And then during the whole quest, she just kept secrets and distanced herself from Percy and worst of all her jealousy was showing in so many crude ways. But I guess, she is the daughter of Athena after all.
I loved that Daedalus left his laptop for Annabeth though. I can just imagine how much she would treasure that thing and would just make back up upon back up to safe keep it all.
It was so easy to root for Percy to be with Rachel in this book, but at the same time, it was really obvious that Percy is not into her the way he was with Annabeth. Which just made everything super frustrating for me on a whole other level.
The flying scene and then the war scene was so awesome. I can't wait to see how they're going to develop this in the upcoming series.

Alguma magia inusitada costurou esse livro. De alguma forma impossivel de explicar, esse quarto volume da saga tem mais de 1000 paginas de acontecimentos espremidas em menos de 400 na realidade.
A intensidade de eventos e o ritmo da narrativa atingem seu ápice, não há descanso, sucessões de acontecimentos importantes e seus desdobramentos logo em seguida vão compondo a história que passa numa velocidade e dinâmica ainda mais incrível que o livro anterior (A Maldição do Titã).
A evolução dos personagens é inquestionável, o senso de amadurecimento mesmo mantendo a leveza da escrita. A seriedade e gravidade crescentes do que envolve os protagonistas dão ainda mais profundidade no tom de perigo iminente.
E que reviravoltas! Não da pra parar aqui! Vamos de Último Olimpiano agora mesmo!

Loved this one, again. Percy Jackson is an amazingly written series.
I am dying for the slow burn! And I think it’s sooooo funny, how Percy does NOT at all understand, that Annabeth likes him. He’s so dumb when it comes to that, it’s so innocent and I love that about him, even when it must be super frustrating and annoying for everyone else.
