This book was nothing like I expected. About the first half it was depressing and no fun to read. Lou was so not the one we got to get to know in the first book. She was merely a shadow of her old self. Yeah, I know it was because she had to deal with the loss of her life and it hit her hard. However, it was still hard to see such a colourful person not being herself at all. And Lily was quite anoying and an unexpected plot twist. It is hard to place her. Just could not connect.
And then there is ambulance Sam. I really wish we could get to know him better. I would have loved to be the book more about him rather than about Lily. I bet there is so much more about him than we get told and the way he leads Lou back to live gets lost in the "Lily story".
I really enjoyed reading the last 100 pages though as Lou seemed more like her old self and it made me happy seeing her finally moving on.

I didn't expect there to be more to the story. The first book is pretty great and has a good ending, but this story had a continuance that I was not expecting.

I enjoyed the sequel almost as much as the first book. It's a sweet book about moving on and finding your new self after tragedy. Also, I really did like the character of Lily with all her ups and downs - she brought a breath of fresh air to the story.

I almost want to give this a 4, but it just felt so much less satisfying than her other books. I was not satisfied with how anything resolved really. Somethings seemed too simple. Others too complicated. Still others too unsure still. I wonder if there will be a third book? I am curious because this one definitely leaves lots to tell us about Lou's life.

A beautifully seamless continuation of the original book. I was worried it would be stuttery or there’d be nothing to explore after the first book’s end, but I was wonderfully surprised
