Horrible. Trash. Garbage. It's bad and the author should feel bad. I'm writing this review five years after reading it and I still remember how bad it was. One thing I remember as standing out was the main character's truly horrible inner monologue of "I shouldn't like him because he's soooo bad but ooh MUSCLES!" and the way their pheromone-addled monkey brains drove them together. I had a lot more to complain about back then but that's all I remember for sure.

I was a bit anxious to start rhis seires because i feared the protagonist would change with each book. But honestly Polaris Rising could have easily been it's own series but I liked that I got to spend so much time with Ada and Loch.  By the time I finished this book I was OK with the new protagonists in the rest of the series. I feel that Ada's and Marcus's story ended well. And the world that was built in this book is too cool not to further explore.

I enjoyed this space adventure and will continue to read the rest of the books.

Couldn't put this down it was so action packed. Really loved the story, the romance was kind of rushed but wasn't problematic. I liked that it wasn't just romance, this is very much a sci fi, not just a romance in a sci fi setting. If that makes any sense to anyone besides myself. lol

4.5 Stars

Ticked all of my boxes. Unputdownable. I'm am going to binge read this series!

This book was NOT for me. The love story felt rushed and unnatural. The plot was predictable. The characters were cardboard cutouts of a million other characters.
