For quite a while I had seen promos of it on TikTok and since I needed something quick and to the point (pun intended hehe) I decided to give it a shot. I was taken aback by the fleshed out characters and their motivations. It wasn’t just some PWP as it was advertised so that was a nice surprise.

The sex scenes were okay. Didn’t find any particular sexy because the dirty talk from the male love interest just took me out of it sometimes. Just unfortunate lol. But they were well-written and well-placed in the story. There was one sex scene in particular that had a red flag that I wondered if it would be addressed and immediately after it did by the protagonist. I also enjoyed that the couple acted like adults willing to talk through their issues and concerns.

The mystery aspect was truly what elevated the book for me. It kept me wanting to keep reading to figure out what exactly happened. It remained vague enough to allow the rest of the books to unravel it. One thing I will say, however, was that the plot twist at the end, I saw it coming from the very beginning. It was enjoyable getting proved right, but I’m also highly interested in how it’ll be resolved later down the road.

I read this because it came up on my tiktok as a paid promotional ad. I expected way more than what this was. I found myself cringing so much, something about a guy constantly referencing his c*ck gives big ick vibes. I want to know what happened to Wren but I’m not sure I can get through another Saint POV.

This was a quick and engrossing read. It was also unabashedly predictable (at least this first one), so if you're looking for a mystery with lots of unexpected twists and turns, this probably won't live up to that. Despite that, I really enjoyed it. I like the main characters just fine. The secondary characters were introduced in a way that made them indistinguishable to me for most of the book, but that wasn't super important. Fun read.

3.5 - I mainly read this book because of the

I absolutely loved this!! I think it did great with adding spice and romance(?) in the story but not forgetting the main mystery plot of her sister. I think towards the end (like last couple of chapters so) I was growing frustrated at how accepting she was of Saint with absolutely no suspicion which I still liked him I just wanted her to remember who was was in it for and oh my goodness did she remember!!! That ending was absolutely mind blowing and while I don’t know if this is the full truth or there’s more (i’m sure there is) I am sooo excited because she ended up not losing her vision and the mystery returneddd!!!! I will immediately be picking up the next one!
