Tessa has come to Oxford under false pretenses, she doesn't truly have a deep passion for 18th Century Literature...she has a need to discover what happened to her sister in the very halls she walks in now that shattered her... and Saint, Saint has a need for Tessa...a very very distracting need.
Cross My Heart is a dark academia, mysterious secret society romance that makes me want to visit Oxford to see for myself if it is as historic and full of secrets as so many novels seem to think (is there a kernel of truth to these widespread claims?) Not to mention to potentially find a Saint of my own...because damn an intellectual, well-read, dirty-talking, British, heir to a dukedom, rake? In the 21st century!! Yes Please!! Which reminds me we really need to bring back the term rake, it languishes in the Regency era and really should be applied to more fictional men at the least. Really Saint reminds me of a dirtier more grown-up Logan Huntzberger (In Omnia Paratus) and as a hardcore Logan stan I mean that as a tremendous compliment. Tessa is a strong, FMC who is sassy in the best ways creating some great back-and-forth banter. There is a ton of chemistry and spice between the two (be prepared for smut with a mystery plot not a mystery with some smut) and Roxy Sloane manages to weave a mystery that keeps you guessing to the last page... I did see the cliffhanger twist coming (don't worry the rest of the series is already out)
Thank you Good Girls PR and Roxy Sloane for this ARC of Cross My Heart!!

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this book and OMG was this a great read.
I was on a delayed flight... my goodreads is between me and god (yes I will be picking up the second since there was some interesting plot)
Easy read but there were quite a few grammatical errors that were in it. The spice was great but could’ve been better.
Very well written and I liked the story a lot. But I don’t think I like where it’s going. Idk if I will finish this trilogy
This had many layers that I liked! The storyline kept me engaged and caring about the mystery. The ending was a great cliffhanger, I cannot wait to get to the second book!
