I really struggled to get through this book. I was having to constantly re-read pages because I was so bored I was zoning out.
I really liked the concept and have been looking for dark student x teacher romance but this just wasn’t it. I also just couldn’t get over the entire concept of someone so average and just breezing through life just suddenly becomes smart enough to get into a prestigious college that her med school graduate, biochem researcher sister got into on a full ride and her sole motivation was trying to figure out who SA’d her sister when her sister didn’t even know 🤨
She literally has no leads except some yearbook pictures and her sister’s flashback of chains, formal wear and a thigh tattoo really and you expect me to believe that an average, volunteer, coffee shop, odd job worker with literally no resources is able to solve such a big mystery? Yeah no.
And the orgy ball/party no thanks 🙄
