It was cute but I read it in the wrong season, and other things interested me more. Will try to remember to try again in the fall

I loved that this book took place in Minnesota. The premise was interesting as well. I am not sure how I feel about the characters though and some of this book was hard to keep reading because I wasn't connecting with the characters.

I really enjoyed this! The relationship felt real and I loved Ali and Adam. I also adored Ali’s friend group and honestly so many of the side-characters. This was entertaining, raw, and probably the most fun I’ve had with a contemporary romance in a while. I will definitely be picking up more Ellie Palmer books in the future!

I enjoyed the audiobook quite a bit, was not super memorable and a little awkward/weird not in the ooh the characters are a bit awkward together way the writing just wasn't my favorite. That being said, the story was a really interesting idea and I enjoyed the concept alot! It was different from anything else I have read, and it talked about how complicated grief can be in a very real way that I appreciated. I also feel like I learned alot from the MRCA gene topic, the character's coming to terms with her new body, life, and relationships after going through it. The MMC was so lovey and understanding and loved her exactly as is. The connection the characters had was great, and I liked how it slowly showed them becoming friends and the relationship bond. I didn't love the "I was mean to you cause I thought you were pretty" thing but its ok! All around a good book!
