The FMCs medical diagnosis and preventative treatment brought focus to challenges not frequently written into love stories. I liked most of this book a lot, but the third act turmoil and the dead boyfriend's mother's fixation on the FMC were really offputting.

I loved the third act breakup! Both had stuff to work out, and they did so in a really healthy, thoughtful way.
A very solid 3.5! I threw this on because apparently I can’t drive anywhere without listening to an audiobook anymore and it was very cute! I typically don’t like a third act breakup but this one actually felt necessary for the character development and I got a three months later epilogue which I ALWAYS appreciate!
3.5 ⭐️ cute story, lots of character growth. The concept was a little bonkers. Overall, I liked it

Read the BOTM copy.
I really enjoyed this romance. Ali has her struggles to be, "better and grateful," but her good friends, and her romance with Adam, show her she doesn't have to earn her right to have a good life. Some laugh out loud moments, and the ongoing Trivia challenge was funny. Would recommend for an entertaining summer read.
