definitely helped me a lot and i was internally screaming at some pages “oh my god i needed to hear that” - other times it felt disconnected and a bit repetitive but i will definitely keep it on hand for when i need to remind myself how my own company can be a gift.

Beautiful
This book is like reading a hundred inspirational quotes and life advice at once. The art and graphics help balance out the heaviness of some of the truths. It’s definitely a must read, especially if you’re having a tough week and need a reminder of how amazing the number one person in your life is—you.

Pretty design but that’s all there is to it. Full of the regular cliches and “inspiring” quotes

here is what I liked:
- I love when authors have the ability to perfectly structure feelings and thoughts that fly around your head
- the design!! seriously, there are beautiful drawings and quotations, I also really liked the colors
- the intention behind the book: self love and that you‘re good enough to be on your own
here is what I did not like:
- I didn‘t feel like the intention was met in the end though
- Pia and I discussed this many many times: many parts felt like they contradicted themselves and the three chapters (YOU, THEM, US) at parts did not really fit their content?
- there were inspirational quotes but it way too superficial...I think I would have liked it much more as a younger reader
