Divorce Your Mother: A Self-help guide for living independently

Written by Buck Jones

In my opinion, this is a four-star book.

The information is straightforward and there are plenty of tips for readers who are in this predicament to move out. The author asks questions and encourages the book lover to ask themselves questions about short and long-term goals. Do you have a savings account? What buttons does your mother push that gets you mad? Are you happy with yourself (such as your weight)? These are the types of questions that you have to think about and ask yourself.

One of the first things I noticed about this book is the title: it is a great pick for the book as it immediately grabbed my attention. The book cover itself is plain and would have benefited from something better.

This book focuses primarily on your relationship with your mother and not on other members of your household. Ultimately, the author is trying to exhort you to build up your confidence to drive you to move out of your parent's house.

This book is well-edited and I did like the separations of sections.
