I really enjoyed The Last Rail-Rider.
I read this without knowing what it was about, so didn't know what to expect. I wasn't disappointed though, and loved this short story.

I'm definitely becoming a Jason Gurley Fan!

This is the first work of Jason Gurley's that I have read, and I think I'll be reading more (I have his book, The Caregiver on my "books to read" list). It was odd that I read The Last Rail Rider, immediately after completing Isaac Asimov's The Last Question. Both novels deal with the question with the end of the world, and what comes next. This was a very interesting story that kept me interested as events unfolded. The end initially left me feeling a little unfulfilled, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this short story.
