This is a lemon meringue pie of a book. Light and fluffy with little to offend and enjoyable from the first to last. Underneath the fluff is a bite, a foundation that holds up the fluff and adds to it.
This was a light, fun read and I highly recommend it for spring break or airplane reading. It's especially good if you need a break from all of the news of the day.

it was a cute book, started out funny .it felt though like 2 different books at times with unclear narrator voices.
Reminiscent of the Nanny Diaries but focused on the niche would of prep school admissions in NYC, Small Admissions was a quick and easy read. The main character’s story was great! I liked her development and as an educator really appreciated the way she advocated for students. However the overlapping storylines told from alternative perspectives were a bit confusing and dragged the story down a bit. Still an ok read for back to school season, just not a new favorite that I’d recommend to others.
A fun and sometimes wacky story about life, love, and the admissions process at a private Manhattan middle school. Reminiscent of [b:Where'd You Go, Bernadette|13526165|Where'd You Go, Bernadette|Maria Semple|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1338822317s/13526165.jpg|17626728].
