This felt like the best of old-school Stephen King, and I couldn't put it down. Completely unexpected from a mystery writer who's been in the business for ages. Hope he does more horror in the future!

I've heard about this nonstop on Booktok lately, so I was pretty bummed to get all the way through this and not love it :/ TBH, I was extremely close to DNFing it at about 70%. The end was great, but not worth how much I had to get through to get to the last 10%
