this is one of my FAVORITE horror novels, hands down. a fantastic mix of religious trauma and the supernatural that keeps you on the edge of your seat. we love to see gay people winning

It was not the perfect book, it has problems with the pacing and the character development felt a fit too fast to be realistic. But it was really interesting to read. And it has one of my favourite tropes, found family. The satire of (I think american evangelical church) was also delicious to read.
