This book had been on my TBR (to be read) pile since it came out. I finally got around to listening to it when it was the daily deal over on Audible. First of all, this book is not what I expected and I should have known better since it wasn’t my first Shusterman read. Brewster Rawlings is wrongly perceived by everyone at school. He is a loner and when you find out why, your heart will break. The Sternberger family is going through a major crisis of their own. When Brewster, Tennyson and Bronte begin to cross paths, things begin to get infinitely worse before anyone can start to see improvement. Brewster isn’t what either Sternberger twin expected.

I loved this book so much!!!!!! I love how each chapter was a different point of view so we weren't wondering what the other characters were thinking and feeling. I almost cured in class reading this. It was so sad I wish he would have woken up so everything would be okay. But he didn't. I wanted him to be with Bronte so badly. It was an amazing story

Another great book by Neal Shusterman. His stories are very unique and new. They aren't the same old story that you find so much of (Love triangles...yeah!). This was a very deep and thought provoking story about friendship and love. Very touching and VERY sad.

This book was not what I expected it to be. It is crazy but amazing how authors write their stories with different point of views from the characters. Books like that are something you have to read.
Anyway. This book was very interesting and good. Someone who can take pain away? I never even thought about something like that before. It's something very different, but interesting by the way Neal Shusterman put it, taking away physical and emotional pain. That is what made me like this book. But I do wish at the end it was more than just the phone calls and knowing that Brew was okay.. but maybe that's because I like to know what would happen farther in the characters lives but that would just make a book a too long of a book. Haha.
This book was simply amazing and different. I very much liked it! Also, this book made me realize that we shouldn't take things for granted and be able to be strong to take on any pain so we can know how pain feels and to be able to have the real emotion and physical feeling no matter what.

I love Neal Shusterman. He had me at Unwind. This book is NOTHING like Unwind or its counterparts. It was thoughtful and sad and very human. I have been recommending this book to students for years out of sheer love for Shusterman. They have almost always come back asking for something else like this. Honestly, there isn't much else like this. This book is unique and endearing in its own way.

Another amazing story by Shusterman. Brewster has a habit of taking on the pain of others- literally. He can't let those he cares about suffer and his body ends up a whelter of bruises, burns and at times broken bones. His biggest fear is widening his circle of friends and having someone he cares for take advantage of what he can do for them.
This is a fantastic look inside the psyche at how people deal with pain, love, and personal responsibility.
