While not actually being written by Chelsea Handler (it's written by her friends and family and dog), Lies That Chelsea Handler told me utilizes the same wit and charm as her past works. This means that it is funny, shocking and raunchy and thoroughly entertaining to read.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys any of Chelsea Handler's works being it her tv show(s) or her written words. Certainly if you are a fan of Chelsea Lately then this book is even more for you as the writers of the individual chapters are mostly familiar personalities from the show.

All of that being said I cannot wait for Chelsea's next book that she is actually the writer of because like her lies, nobody does it better.

Listened to this while driving from Minnesota to Chicago. This is a compilation of multiple people from Chelsea Handler's life writing about the practical jokes she plays on them. The bad part is that it is also read by the people who wrote each chapter. Some of the people reading their chapter were really great, others were awful or just plain annoying.

Aside from the actual readings, I didn't really enjoy the book. It was like listening to Punk'd but without Ashton Kutcher. Just couldn't get into listening to other people's stories of moments of panic or humiliation. If you like shows like Punk'd or Jackass maybe you'd get into this book. But if you're not a huge fan of practical jokes then stay away from this read.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the ones penned by Chelsea herself. Hearing her friends, family and coworkers talk about her behavior makes Chelsea sound like a sociopath.

The same hilarious Chelsea Handler stories told from the perspective of her friends, family and dog. A little confusing to match people up with her previous books, because they all dropped the fake names she was using for them. I wish there would have been a little more narrative from Chelsea, but still very entertaining overall.

Not as enjoyable as Chelsea's own books, but interesting.

If there is one thing this book has taught me it is this: I do not nor do I ever want to be Chelsea Handler's friend.

This book was not actually written by Chelsea. Instead, each chapter is narrated by one of Chelsea's friends or family members and details the pranks Chelsea has played or the lies she has told. It's a clear sign of laziness on the part of both Chelsea and her publishers.

Some of these chapters are written by fellow comedians who manage to add a bit of funny into an otherwise boring book. None of these stories manage to display Chelsea in a positive light and will not help your view of Chelsea either. In fact, I strongly recommend that you do not read this book and instead pick up a Chelsea Handler book that is actually by Chelsea Handler.

If you're still not convinced, consider this: The last chapter is "written" by Chelsea's freaking dog.
