Once the plot is established, it's a fast read! I wanted to read something that was true horror and scared me, and this book delivered! I also recommend the audiobook, there was an actor for each character, sound effects, and music! It was truly like watching a horrifying episode of Ghost Hunters. I can't wait to reread with the physical book!
Ghost hunting, paranormal, and debunking using physics, time travel and the perception of time with how it relates to physics
This is not what I thought it would be. I don't like paranormal ghost hunters and then the voice actor for one of the segments put on the worst sounding "old person from the south" accents I've ever heard. And I had to say no.

This book didn't feel like it was going anywhere and based on a lot of reviews, it doesn't end up anywhere either. Very misleading cover because I was expecting some scares, but nope. It wasn't even creepy.

Wow, this book kinda fizzled at the end. The majority of the story (seriously, 70% of it) was really interesting and a fast read! The ending, though, just felt like the author wasn't sure how to wrap things up, so they took a swing...and a miss...
Great concept and story - Not a strong ending, sadly.

This was fine. It was quite good in the first half building up tension and atmosphere, but the more spooky things that were happening, the more I lost interest. The haunting didn't actually feel like it would have any consequences to the characters, and I didn't understand the motive or reasoning behind it at all. I know it was explained as happening because the scientists and then the ghost hunting team wanted it to happen, and it was using the promise of answers to all of their questions to draw them in, but that wasn't satisfying and could have been interchanged with any random reason and not have affect the story in any meaningful way. I also think the ending where Claire becomes a ghost by choosing to leave behind all of her earthly attachments, including her love for her husband Matt, and then killing him, was just awful. So the science and logic lady must obviously want answers so much that she doesn't care about her husband and is willing to give up her love for him. Gross. The only thing that keeps this book from behind rated lower is that the format of the audiobook was spectacular. It was so well produced and it really made it feel like a found footage horror. The multiple actors, sound effects, and editing really gave it a level of authenticity that was great.
