Columbine is a book put out by Twelve. It is one of my favorite publishing houses because they only put out twelve new books a year. They give their attention to promoting those select authors and their work. It is a smaller imprint of Hachette books, but it is such a great idea. If a Twelve book seems remotely interesting to me it gets pushed over the edge because it's been selected by Twelve and thus probably worth my time. Hence....Columbine. Not the cheeriest of topics.

I was in high school the year this happened and it was facsincating to hear the story told years after the fact and to realize that I never really learned what happend. It was a tragedy that I only heard snippets of and believed everything I heard. It seems that is how a lot of people remember Columbine, through the headlines and news clips that spread speculated information about the murders.

It was structured in an interesting way, with fair treatment given to the murderers, the victims, the parents and the city.

Written 10 years later. Now we get the facts and not the speculation from the news outlets. Very interesting piece on a very scary day and all those it affected.

Fantastically written! Cullen does an excellent job of not inputting his opinions or political views into it. And what an eye opener! I was amazed at how little I understood of the actual events that occurred. Excellent read, would highly recommend!

Very engaging!! It was hard to read at times but not due to complexity but content. It was a very marvelous story and definitely recommend if you posses the courage to know the truth. Especially the full truth of the story behind the mass shooting of Columbine High School in 1999.

Free read. Exhaustive examination of the tragic events of 4/20/1999 at Columbine High School in Littleton, CO. Details of that day and all about the killers with more in depth in the year leasing up to the events. But it is immensely sad. Especially when you discover that the real plan was to blow up the entire school with the goal of killing everyone--400 people at least. And the mass shootings, many at schools just continue with our leaders and legislators and fellow citizens complicit in what are essentially our own home terrorists attacks. Rarely is there any follow up on the many injured victims who survive but have lives altered forever. And no one ever seems to calculate the cost of all this. I guess the NRA just pays better.
