I am unwell. The way these books have a strangle hold on me is unreal. Clem has my whole heart and it constantly is broken for him through this book; his isolation, overwhelm, sadness and even his angry exhaustion hit so close to home. Cris is both her brother’s mirror and the other side of his coin in many ways. Her pursuit of justice is heartbreaking and so desperately needed. Watching these two fight to find themselves and struggle to right the wrongs they have committed as well as societies wrongs was incredibly powerful. I need 10-24 business months to recover emotionally from that cliffhanger though.
