So many inconsistencies.

Title makes no sense. I couldn’t ever connect it to the book.

When was this book written 2011? Was it edited and added to and re-released in 2021? I can’t find anywhere that says it’s edited. But things don’t add up.

Car phone, cell phone, landline inconsistencies. In Brad’s car there is a car phone. In 2011 when this book was -originally- released that was much less common. Completely unheard of in 2021. Then they have cellphones too in the book. Fine at either time. But the end of the book when the LaGuardia was calling Duncan’s cell to have them watch CNN. He doesn’t try Brad’s landline that was previously mentioned and used. So he didn’t try to connect with them very hard.

Also, Pete Buttigieg is mentioned. In reference to gay politics. Buttigieg didn’t come out as gay until 2015.

I liked the mystery of the story, you have to suspend reality to believe it’s plausible. But it’s fiction, if you can’t let some things go, you should avoid fiction in general.

Even though I was sure that no cest was actually going to happen, it was enough at the beginning to give you a little bit of angsty-anxiety that something might happen or that they might get caught.

Once it did happen the wasted no time. Full steam ahead. There was a lot of sex and very little relationship happening. Which is expected as they already had a relationship, they expanded boundaries. But no real development of the romance.
