This book was a quick read, it was also one that I could not put down once I started it, I was so annoyed with myself for starting it late at night and having to put it down to go to sleep. It was incredible, it was spicy and suspense fulled. I loved it and can't wait to read more from this author.

If it wasn’t for adult responsibilities I would have finished this novella in one sitting. I was absolutely hooked from the very beginning, Lux and Indie were just perfect. Lux wants Indie to fear him but she stares right at him and smiles, there is an instant pull between them. He shouldn’t want her but he can’t stay away. Please read trigger warnings before reading this. If you like dark romance with a bit of horror this is definitely for you. I wasn’t sure going into it but I enjoyed this novella. I wish it was longer but I loved how it ended.

When the ticket booth attendant said, "Where lust wears a twisted mask and desire dances with the devil", he wasn't kidding. Our FMC, Indie, is suprised by what she sees, but also intrigued. 🤭
Lux is the ring master and owner of the Cirque, and he doesn't participate. Ever. His childhood ensured he hates the touch of others. That is, until he sees innocent little Indie walking through his show. Lux believes Indie doesn't belong in a place like this. However, Lux ends up getting a taste, and realizes Indie's desires might actually match his own.
The spice was spicyyyy. The plot was a really unique one. Considering this is a novella, it felt fleshed out enough and the characters connection was actually believable. I absolutely ate this up, and I would devour another one if Nova wrote it.
I will also always think of this book when I see a ketchup packet, and will probably laugh like a loon, so thank you for that. 😂

This quick little dark romance is nothing but little and nothing but dark.. it’s black pits of hell dark with a blindfold just to make it even more black! Even though it was just a few 100 pages it managed to make me dive to its world. The writing was very immersive but and I’m saying BUT it’s one of the few dark romances that made me actually pause and reconsider if I can handle it. I did though and once more I’m questioning the levels of my sanity cause I actually liked it. I would love to see a second one coming out continuing the story of Lux and Indie. 🖤 I only put 3,5 stars cause I wanted moooore. But please 🙏 read the trigger warnings before hand.. I warned you 😉
