Only read because of the fan art of the guy and the circus psycho by doggy graves

This had promise initially. I enjoyed the characters and the premise and felt that if this had been longer and a bit more fleshed out it could have been a really enjoyable read.
However, the plot twist at the end was completely unnecessary and ruined the book in my opinion.

Read your trigger warnings !!
I loved lux and indie. They are perfect depiction of beautiful, tragic mixed with depravity and innocence and I ate it up.
There were a few scenes where I sat and questioned my sanity and I would do it all over again.
Perfect short read if you're in a book slump and need to pushed off a cliff of insanity and depravity and ask yourself 100+ times if you're into this.

I have to say, this book is one of the best I've ever read. However, I must warn you to read the trigger warnings. It contains dark and twisted content.

Lux and Cirque Du Desir caught my attention right away. Despite being a novella, the author did an amazing job in developing the character of Lux in such a short amount of time, making us instantly root for him.

This fast-paced read left me hungry for more Lux and Indie books. I was hesitant to read this book after reading other circus-themed books, but it truly is an exceptional take on the circus and I adored it.

Nova Kane did an astounding job with her debut novel!
Thank you for the opportunity to ARC read this book!

There's masked men, guilty pleasures, few morals and lots of spice. There's even a HEA. What more could you ask for?

I received this arc for my honest opinion.
Thank you for the opportunity to read your book early!

Woah!
This was really, really good.
It's extremely dark and heavy, but just what I needed at the moment to get me out of my reading slump. I was NOT expecting that ending to be so dark, but it was great.

I would read the trigger warnings first before diving into this read, it's not for the faint of heart.

I could read more about Lux & Indie.
I honestly loved Lux so much.
Indie was a really head strong FMC and held her ground, which I loved.

I can't wait to see what else Nova Kane has up their sleeve!

À La Folie..."to madness" is the perfect description of this novella by Nova Kane. It's a dark, depraved experience under a circus tent. It's a desperate desire to love and be loved for the broken person you are. It's hiding your scars behind a clown mask or behind the perfect skin of innocence. I was not sure what to expect when I began the book. I had a feeling Lux, the MMC, was going to win my heart. I have a weakness for lost souls, and I was as drawn to him as Indie, the FMC. She is a small town girl dealing with the loss of her mother and her drunken, distant father. He is the leader of a traveling circus of hedonism and lust, Cirque Du Désir. Scarred and damaged by childhood trauma, he hides his face and watches the craziness around him from a self claimed throne. Through the haze of pain and loneliness that life can bring and the sweat, slick air beneath the big top, Indie finds herself drawn to that throne and Lux. She sees past his scars to the wandering, searching spirit he is. He sees the kindred darkness she is despite her sweet, untouched appearance. This book won't be for everyone. There are dark and adult themes on nearly all the pages, and I would advise readers to carefully check the trigger warnings before jumping into this one. I loved every word, but then je suis un peu fou (please forgive my butchering of the French language 😉).
