TW: discussion of eating disorders/bulimia, discussion of drug addiction of partners, emotional and physical abuse and manipulation, discussion of HP (written 2017)

I sped through this book in two days and now here I am. If you think of reading this book do not expect anything grand with an incredible writing style because it is not. Lily Collins wrote this book in an easy to understand language and while she is maybe not the best writer she really got her message across.
She mainly discusses her biggest struggles in life - disordered eating and toxic relationships - and what she has learned from these experiences. She mentions it herself too, but I truly believe that this was a cathartic experience for her to really confront all these events of her teenage/early adult years.
I also believe it is very important to discuss matters of body image, eating habits, relationship advice and red flags with young people (and everyone really). Opening up like this was probably not easy at all and I really respect her for that.
Otherwise she dedicated a few chapters to motivational messages and basically says “be true to yourself.” I think these chapters broke up the tense topics well.
I enjoyed this quick read and would definitely recommend it for a fast but interesting read.
