There were a few too many characters in this one to properly follow what was going on at times, but still a good start to a new Shadowhunters run!
And, for once, a Herondale didn't annoy me, which has never happened with these books, so that was a major plus!

Young adult fiction, emphasis on the young.

Well it was a good quick read. The first Clare novel I've tried, definitely felt like I was in Bridgerton, with more demons.

What am I supposed to say to this? I like that there's a happy ending of sorts but everyone is actually really sad. Herondales can't catch a break. I heavily dislike this. Overall I liked this book. Looking forward to the next.
