While I was a little confused at first because there are so many characters, I now want to protect these characters? Like fiercely. Especially Christopher and Matthew! And I adore Cordelia and Lucie and their badass female friendship and strength! Cannot wait to see where this goes next!

Reread:
There is something about the way Cassie Clare writes her characters that burrows deep down into my soul.  I feel this personal connection with every single one and I truly love them so much.  I just want the best for them and I cry when they don't get it, and I cry when they do. Basically, there is a lot of crying.

I very much enjoy this story. Cordelia is an amazing  main character and she just keeps getting better. There is a wonderful supporting cast, and I love the plot.  The Demons in this book are great!

So I had to take a week before I could write this review:
I absolutely loved this book. It might be my favorite Shadowhunters book so far. You definitely should have read TID before reading this, or you'll get a lot of spoilers.

The characters in this book have my heart. There is so much character development and diversity among them. I would die for Matthew Fairchild.

The ending is so bittersweet and I cannot wait for the next book in this series so I can find out how everything works out.

Was so happy to see Will and Jem and Tessa and Magnus again!
