3.83 AVERAGE

The first half of the book felt pretty whatever and started to strengthen by the end but it just didn't live up to some of the other crazy good hockey books I've read. Not a bad book, just didn't hit the same.

edit: ok i initially gave this book a 3.75 but i'm changing it to a 2.75. i started the puckboys series and this book was so unmemorable that i didn't even realize foster was in the series until 5 books in AND THAT WAS ONLY BECAUSE I CHECKED WHERE ASHER WAS FROM. and that in iteself goes to attest how mid this book was. after reading, I had no urge to go read any of the other books in the CU series.

TO BE FAIR, I initially listened to the audiobook for this book and I really really didn't like the narrators. after I finish the puckboys series, if I get the urge to, I may give the CU series another shot and will read the ebook for this book then

There comes a point too nerdy and socially strange collide too much in romance.
somethings are just too painful to read, not cute at all.
I'm sorry, this book was not for me albeit written very well.

Comfort read series. Foster and Zach bring out the best in each other

This was so cute!!! I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did but Zach and Foster were so cute. Not very spicy but a sweet story and no third act breakup

It was okay. Hockey jock in most homophobic sport in the US is somehow out as bi in college while trying to get signed. He’s hot for the nerdy best friend of his twin brother who is openly gay. Normal fears ensue from the gay one for not being “good enough” or whatever because jock can’t possibly pursue someone he likes.

The narration is so-so. I don’t have a particular issue other than that I’ve heard him multiple times and it feels like he’s always playing the same character. Not bad but it doesn’t seem to have range.

Just finished listening to the audiobook. I already loved Iggy Toma from having listened to Wrath but Alexander Cendese was new to be and he is amazing! Perfect voice for the athletic and outgoing Foster. Great audiobook all around! I love a nerd/jock story and this is one of my faves.

I've really tried with this combo of authors, but I just think it's not for me. Everything feels rushed, like they give me scenes that don't truly connect, time jumps that isn't really explained (no real sense of time passing, you know? if you tell that this book happens in a week I'll believe you, even though it starts in august/september and ends january perhaps)
