A brilliantly researched novel but very very dark and depressing , the casual misogyny towards these poor women and the open racism and hostility made my blood boil ! So so glad I’m not a woman living in the 50s ! Dark times indeed and a purely evil man

Not sure it really needed all the tangents about the contemporary reporters of the story - I would have preferred even more detail about the victims instead
