I loved this book. It started out kind of slow and typical mystery. But that twist was so surprising. I couldn’t see it coming. Very well done. There are some parts where it slowed down and felt lost. Along with some places with out of character moments.

I enjoyed this book enough to give it 4 stars. the plot twists were all crazy and unexpected. you'd think you had it figured out and then it jerked you the opposite direction. almost a little too many plot twists, could have done with one less, but that's ok. I didn't particularly enjoy the

supernatural element that came into play

but it slightly redeemed itself at the end.

I wish Casey died in the water, I would have liked to see how that played out lol

Trigger warning for alcoholism! There are some darker elements to the book as well. Overall a great read. The pace was good, characters pretty interesting although annoying at times, and the plot was pretty good too! The ending irritated me a little bit but overall I’m glad I read it. A solid thriller.

So much I didn’t expect happened in this book. It’s a mix of mystery and horror that’s pretty well-done. The characters, are lovable despite their short-comings. This was a great book to end spooky season with and I look forward to reading more by this author.
