Likely be a reread, esp once the third book comes out.

The only negative thing I have to say is the pacing was funny. I thought the book reached a good ending point and there were 500 pages left. Then again and 200 pages left. Then the book actually ended and it felt mid sentence!

Perhaps the intended effect…

Pretty character heavy, seems to be building up to something really intriguing though! Incredible world building and character development. Interesting framing/pacing

I find this book to be beautiful. The way Rothfuss uses literary devices to foreshadow events and provide exposition is beautiful. Compared to other authors, I find Rothfuss’ use of exposition and worldbuilding to be masterfully crafted. If you’re looking for a slow paced and intricate look into the stereotypical hero arc story than you’re looking in the right place.

I loved this book, the magic system, the characters, the setting was all amazing.  I couldn’t stop reading once I started and can’t wait to read the second one. The descriptions of characters/plot/settings were precise but lyrical.  The slight touch into magical creatures also did it for me!
Love a good dragon!

Possibility of adding some more diverse characters as I feel this would have only added to the story!
