I immediately liked this book. As it kept going, though, I did like it a bit less. Some irking things to me:
1) focusing so much on Bea’s diet habits. It just seemed…forced and weird.
2) the endless droning about Ray. Omggggg…this in itself is why I took a whole star off.
Overall a cute read.

I could not finish this book. It was making me hate my own body hearing the way she thought about her own body and the way the men on the show treated her. None of those men should have been anywhere around her. This is NOT a romance novel. It's like an Anti-Romance novel.ij218143's review against another edition

Such an enjoyable, well-crafted read! The drama and plot twists kept me hooked, the prose sparkled with personality, and the characters were so lovable.
That being said: if you are looking for a romance so that you can root for a central couple, this is not the book for you. Overall, I wouldn’t say that’s a flaw in the writing—it comes with the territory when writing book about an alternate reality version of The Bachelor. By the end, though, I did find myself wishing for a bit more time with Bea and the man she ends up with in the end (especially given everything they went through on the show).

While I liked characters, the heavy focus on the anti-fat bias the character experiences and internalizes made this kind of hard to get through. It was depicted in a way that rang true, but didn't really match the otherwise light tone of the book.
