It's hard to explain why I liked this book, it's so different than what I usually like. Typically I don't like books that don't have a lot of character development, but somehow Offill is able to develop these characters, The Wife, the Husband, The Daughter, through these short snippets of life. So much of what she wrote had me nodding my head in agreement. The writing is spare, too spare for me to absolutely LOVE it.

I'm not a big fan of this format: rambling stream of consciousness? An attempt to defy format and structure? Interesting, but mildly annoying.
