I don't even know where to begin other than this book came in clutch during college. It's a good book, highly referenced from time to time. Take and leave what you want, every design is unique to the beholder and client's request.

Finally finished this one. Packed full of good stuff. A great read for any designer.
informative fast-paced

A classic. If you are interested in design, but not in any particular area, you should really read this book. Goes trough every major topic, explaining the basics of design and, ad the title says, its principles. Must-read.

(Come da titolo) spiega i principali concetti che stanno dietro alla teoria del design. Di lettura semplice ma efficace, consigliato a chiunque sia interessato di design (senza necessariamente avere in mente una disciplina specifica).
informative slow-paced

Does everything it sets out to do. A clear, concise, comprehensive guide to fundamental design considerations that span a range of creative trades, whether engineering, graphic arts, software design, or communication.

While it's not particularly earth-shattering stuff, the concepts presented are fundamental, and thus a clear guide to their presentation warrants merit. Highly recommended for designers of all creeds.

Good reference book, somehow both outdated and timeless at the same time. Didn't really learn much new but it's nice to have all of these principles in one handy reference. I would say a physical version of this book might be more useful than the Kindle version.
